Brain Gainers
The clever minds behind KnowledgeNews came to DualTech with a unique challenge: Take their online webzine/newsletter and make it an interactive game where users track their scores and win prizes. The first thing that we immediately realized is that it had to be scalable and it had to be able to support a large payload of users simultaneously. We also realized it had to look unique and obviously fun! Stuck between using Flash, a common tool used for browser-based games, or AJAX, a powerful tool for creating interactive web applications, we ultimately went for AJAX. With the power of AJAX and the flashy Javascript library, Script.aculo.us under our belts, we created a beautiful and rich browser-based game entitled “Brain Gainers”. With thousands of users, Brain Gainers is quickly becoming one of the smartest and most unique browser-based games on the web to date.
